Independent Wound Care Sales Rep, Medical Device (contract 1099)

Piomic Medical is a rapidly expanding international medical device company at the forefront of innovation in the treatment of hard-to-heal wounds. The company is headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland with a dedicated U.S. subsidiary in the Chicago metro area. We are looking for independent wound care sales reps and sales groups for all U.S. territories (contract 1099-based). The company’s core technology, COMS® One therapy, is a proprietary platform that delivers concurrent optical and magnetic stimulation to promote healing of chronic ulcers. Treatment with COMS® is intuitive and conforms to established workflows of wound care professionals. COMS® received CE Mark Approval in 2020 and is currently being utilized to treat patients with lower extremity ulcers of various etiologies in Europe. Piomic is currently preparing to enter the U.S. market following completion of our multicenter clinical trial for therapy-refractory diabetic foot ulcers, called MAVERICKS, which is currently underway and progressing well. This FDA Investigational Device Exemption (IDE) study is robustly designed to generate a high level of evidence-based data, making it one of the most rigorous diabetic foot ulcer studies of its kind. We have additional technologies in the R&D and clinical research pipeline, which will expand the product portfolio and support future opportunities for sales representation. Tasks This is a commission-only role with exclusive, protected territories and no pre-identified house accounts. Sales reps must have proven experience with billable medical devices in the wound healing space, ideally across one or more of the following call points:

  • outpatient wound care centers (HOPD)
  • Veterans Administration Medical Centers (VAMC)
  • physician practices

Requirements

Sales reps with current or prior skin substitute/CTP product lines in their portfolio are especially encouraged to contact us. Existing relationships with local or regional medical supply distributors (DME), or sales into skilled nursing facilities (SNF), will be considered high-value bonus credentials.
