Junior Cybersecurity & IT Support Engineer (Remote, Contract, Growth Opportunity)
Job Description: We are a growing IT consulting and cybersecurity firm seeking a Junior Cybersecurity & IT Support Engineer to support our expanding client base. This is a contract role (part-time to start) with the opportunity for ongoing work as we scale. You will work directly with our senior engineer and leadership team, gaining hands-on experience in real-world cybersecurity environments. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assist with endpoint security deployments (EDR, antivirus, patching)
- Support vulnerability scans and basic remediation tasks
- Help monitor systems and respond to alerts
- Assist with Microsoft 365 security configurations
- Perform basic system troubleshooting (remote support)
- Work with tools such as NinjaOne, Bitdefender GravityZone, and Sherweb
- Document work and maintain clear records
- Follow security best practices and internal processes
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in IT support or cybersecurity
- Basic understanding of:
Endpoint security (EDR/antivirus) Networking fundamentals Windows environments
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365
- Exposure to RMM or security tools (any platform)
- Strong willingness to learn and grow
Preferred (Nice to Have):
- Exposure to or experience with:
NinjaOne Bitdefender GravityZone Sherweb
- Certifications such as:
CompTIA Security+ Network+ Microsoft Fundamentals (MS-900, AZ-900)
