Staff Accountant
Summary
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing Finance team. This role will support the day-to-day accounting operations of a fast-paced SaaS organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely reconciliations, and compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and comfortable working in a dynamic, tech-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly close activities.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including cash, prepaid expenses, accruals, and deferred revenue.
- Assist with revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 for subscription-based contracts.
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense reporting processes.
- Help prepare financial statements and management reports.
- Assist with audits, tax filings, and ad-hoc financial projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2–4 years of accounting experience (SaaS or technology industry preferred).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition principles.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online (QBO) is required.
- Advanced skills in Google Sheets for financial analysis and reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
