Senior Backend Developer (m/w/d) - Remote (Germany only)

We are currently looking for a talented and experienced backend developer with a strong background in web and backend technologies, including REST, GraphQL, Docker, SQL and HTML5. We place particular emphasis on extensive developer experience in Python. 100% remote work is possible. However, it is essential for us that applicants live WITHIN GERMANY.

Tasks

• Work as a part of our backend team and be responsible for diverse and challenging backend development efforts
• Design and implement robust and scalable services
• Ensure high uptime and meet scalability needs
• Write and maintain tests to improve software quality
• Automate recurring tasks, help us simplify operations
• Design and communicate new API features

Requirements

• 7+ years experience designing and writing backend applications
• Experienced in at least 2 programming languages
• Extensive development experience in Python. Bonus if you have worked on Java or C/C++ projects before
• Fan of coding principles and best practices
• Extensive knowledge of web and backend technologies, esp. asynchronous programming and caching
• Extensive knowledge of relational databases, preferably MySQL
• Experience with Docker. Knowledge of container-orchestration systems is a plus.
• You are smart and adaptive, able to learn new technologies and get things done
• Comfortable in an English-speaking work environment
