Job Summary

As an Experienced Medical Billing and Customer Service Representative, you'll play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service to patients, explaining complex medical bills, and helping them find affordable payment plans. You'll work from the comfort of your own home or our Aurora office, using our internal software program, client systems, and other tools to effectively manage and resolve patient inquiries. Responsibilities

* Provide exceptional customer service to patients, responding to inbound and outbound calls, and resolving their billing and payment-related inquiries

  • Explain complex medical bills and payment plans to patients, using empathy and compassion to address their concerns
  • Collaborate with patients to find affordable payment plans and take payments by phone
  • Accurately document all calls and follow-ups in our software systems, using your computer proficiency, organization, and attention to detail
  • Continuously improve your skills and knowledge, with supportive coaching and feedback from your manager and team leads
  • Work collaboratively with your teammates to support and help fellow representatives, fostering a positive and productive team environment

Requirements

* High school diploma or equivalent required

  • 1-2 years of experience in medical billing and customer service, preferably in a call center environment
  • Demonstrated history of good retention and a strong work ethic
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients and colleagues
  • Basic technical savviness skills, with the ability to learn multiple Electronic Medical Records, software programs, payment portals, and call programs in a fast-paced environment
  • Network speeds with a minimum of 50 mbps download and 15 upload (you can use www.speedtest.net to test this out)
  • Must be a resident of Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Texas, or Kansas, as we cannot hire candidates who reside outside of these states

Preferred Qualifications

* Prior work from home experience

  • Healthcare billing experience
  • Call center experience
  • Basic technical skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software programs and systems
