Software Engineer
Akamai Technologies is a leading company that powers and protects life online. They are seeking a Software Engineer to design, implement, and maintain critical systems for their customer portals, working collaboratively to solve complex problems and enhance customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Working in all stages of software engineering, from concept and design through testing, documenting, and deployment
- Being flexible enough to multitask and deal with multiple urgent situations at a time
- Developing software according to the best coding standards
- Troubleshooting and solving technical issues
- Collaborating with the QA and SRE teams to ensure the quality and safety of our services
Skills
- Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Demonstrate proficiency in Java and experience working with Linux environments
- Demonstrate experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL)
- Have an understanding of the development, management, and deployment of highly scalable cloud-native applications
- Understand Internet protocols, including TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and TLS/SSL
- Collaborate and effectively communicate with multidisciplinary teams to solve technical and business challenges
