Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive test plans, test cases, and testing strategies to ensure software quality for web, mobile, and API applications.
  • Develop, provide oversight and manage the software QA process. Set the standard for solid QA practices within the organization.
  • Perform both manual and automated testing, ensuring full coverage for functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance tests.
  • Track and report defects, ensuring they are resolved in a timely manner and follow up on open issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, product managers, and business people) to align on product requirements, quality goals, and timelines.
  • Mentor and guide team members, contributing to their growth and enhancing their technical knowledge of QA best practices.
  • Continuously assess and refine QA processes, including the introduction and improvement of automation frameworks.
  • Analyze risks related to quality and propose solutions to mitigate these risks.
  • Track and report key quality metrics, using data to drive quality improvements across the software development lifecycle.
  • Ensure all testing activities are properly documented and compliant with internal standards and industry best practices.
  • Lead and contribute to the adoption of Scrum practices, promoting collaboration and communication across the team.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in QA, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Demonstrated success building the software QA practice within an organization.
  • Strong experience with both manual and automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, Postman). MySQL experience.
  • Familiarity with waterfall and Agile methodologies, specifically Scrum.
  • Solid understanding of SQL for data verification and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of Azure Dev Ops and Smartsheets
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
  • Ability to think critically and resolve problems proactively.
  • Knowledge of defect tracking tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for quality.
