[Remote] Data Analyst

Responsibilities

• Design and launch large-scale surveys
• Manage multiple surveys simultaneously to meet data collection goals on schedule and budget
• Track project timelines and priorities, coordinating between data scientists, engineers, and client stakeholders
• Support external outreach through presentations to clients and political partners
• Analyze data to address questions from political strategists and clients
• Build context to distinguish genuine trends from data anomalies for machine learning teams
• Propose improvements in data analysis and communication strategies
• Provide product feedback to enhance internal and external tools

Skills

• 1-2 years of professional experience, including internships
• Proficiency with SQL and relational databases, capable of exploratory analysis and handling imperfect data
• Some experience with R or Python programming
• Ability to explain basic modeling and regression techniques to non-technical audiences
• Strong oral and written communication skills, particularly in remote settings
• Enjoy interaction with colleagues as much as coding
• Interest in working with multi-disciplinary teams including engineers, data scientists, and political experts
• Experience in fast-paced environments managing numerous small projects
• Passion for progressive politics and willingness to engage with the political ecosystem
• Solutions-oriented mindset, strong attention to detail, and creative problem-solving skills
