Staff Accountant
GEM Realty Capital is a strategically integrated real estate investment firm specializing in private and public market opportunities. The company is seeking a Staff Accountant for its financial reporting department, responsible for preparing financial reporting packages, balance sheet reconciliations, and assisting with tax projections.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting packages for assigned properties/assets
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Review and analyze financial data of assigned properties/assets
- Work with property management team to resolve any issues
- Prepare quarterly tax projections
- Assist the tax preparer in completing the annual tax return
- Prepare lender and partner reports to comply with the financial reporting requirements
- Work with external auditors and provide answers to their questions/requests
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, including strong academic performance GPA of at least a 3.0
- CPA or CPA candidate
- Strong skills in Microsoft office
- Excellent communication, written and organizational skills
- Willingness to work onsite twice weekly
