Arizona Attorney
Jefferson Capital Systems, LLC is a leading purchaser and servicer of consumer charged-off receivables in North America and the United Kingdom. They are currently seeking an Arizona-licensed Attorney to join their dynamic legal team, responsible for managing consumer collection matters and ensuring compliance with consumer protection laws.
Responsibilities
- Manage a high-volume docket of consumer collection matters throughout Arizona
- Handle all aspects of litigation: from initial filings through post-judgment enforcement
- Conduct motion practice, hearings, and trials both virtually and in-person
- Negotiate settlements and communicate with pro se defendants and opposing counsel
- Collaborate with remote legal support staff to ensure timely and accurate filings
- Maintain strict compliance with state and federal consumer protection laws (FDCPA, CFPB)
- Conduct legal research and work on special projects as needed
Skills
- Must be licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Arizona
- 1–3 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in litigation or collections
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Strong negotiation skills and excellent verbal and written communication
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and legal document management systems
- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly, problem-solve, and work as a team player
- Willingness to travel regularly for court appearances across various Arizona counties
- Familiarity with consumer collections and regulatory compliance is a plus
