Entry-level Electrical Engineer
AECOM is a global infrastructure consulting firm committed to delivering a better world. They are seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer to conduct design-related activities, prepare engineering calculations, and coordinate with multiple disciplines to ensure timely project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Conduct all design-related activities under engineering supervision
- Prepare engineering calculations, diagrams, sketches, and drawings
- Utilize computer software as a tool for designing and solving engineering problems
- Perform work in accordance with the allocated budget and schedule
- Attend design review meetings, record minutes, and maintain action items
- Research and apply related building codes, regulatory and industry standards
- Coordinate with multiple disciplines to ensure timely project delivery
- Perform surveys, create sketches, record dimensions, and analyze data collected
- Perform construction administration tasks, including shop drawing review, site observations, and other requests for information
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required
- Valid U.S. Driver's License
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit design software
- Basic knowledge of electrical components and characteristics
- Creative thinker with effective teamwork skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; articulate, assertive, confident
