The Human Resources Coordinator (HRC) is responsible for administering a wide range of human resources activities within the HR department. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Human Resources Operations, this role provides ongoing administrative support in HR policies, benefits, employee experience, payroll and reporting requirements. The HRC will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our HR department as well as serve as a subject matter expert on the department’s HRMS. This role will work closely with HR and employees to ensure smooth and efficient HR processes, data entry, and transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated success and a proven track record in professional/life experience in specific job functions, projects, or industries. Military service can substitute for professional experience and/or formal education requirements.
  • HRMS & People Analytics:
  • Assesses current system and utilization; identifies and recommends improvements such as training, customization, and enhancements to maximize value and efficiency of the HRMS.
  • Architects and administers the security protocols and user profiles to ensure appropriate information is shared with the appropriate parties, maintaining checks and balances.
  • Performs customer service and help desk functions by answering employee requests and questions about system access and available information.
  • Works with HR OPs with reporting key metrics, trends, analytics and ad hoc reports that help drive visibility, performance, and insights.
  • Employee Records and Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, maintaining data integrity of the HRMS.
  • HR Policies and Compliance:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations by staying updated on changes and advising management on necessary actions.
  • Employee Relations:
  • Assists with answering and counseling staff on interpretation of HR policy and procedures.
  • Gathers sensitive information for personnel matters and assists with employee relations issues.
  • Benefits Administration:
  • Assist with the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits.
  • Provide support in coordination of open enrollment processes, including communication, enrollment, and data management.
  • Serve as the backup point of contact for employees regarding benefits-related inquiries, such as plan coverage, eligibility, and claims.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must possess approximately three (3) to four (4) years of any combination of experience and/or education that demonstrates a commanding knowledge of Human Resources
  • BA/BS degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of Labor and Employment Laws
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven experience as an HR Coordinator or similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of HRIS systems to include experience with Ceridian Dayforce

Working Conditions and Equipment Use

  • Work is performed indoors in a typical office environment - not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
  • Valid driver license with proof of insurance.
  • Must be able to lift up to fifteen (15) pounds.
  • Frequent use of office machines to include telephone, computer, and printer.
