We're seeking a talented Data Entry Specialist to join our team, working from home in a part-time capacity. As a Data Entry Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of sports information on our various platforms, including television, digital, and print.

Key Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of sports information on our various platforms, including television, digital, and print
• Working in individual settings and in groups to deliver precise detailed breakdowns, clock-and-score, and other measurements and information in real-time to power a multitude of ESPN items and productions
• Creating and maintaining a working knowledge of Details and Data's role in fueling ESPN digital items and television productions
• Reviewing the results of your own work and that of others, performing with a consistently high level of quality and attention to detail
• Contributing to the creation, tasks, and drives across the newsroom, and assisting newsroom leaders who are coordinating full- and part-time staff
• Anticipating potential issues, both daily and long-term, and proposing possible solutions. Communicating rapidly and clearly with partners on these issues
• Playing a proactive role in working with partners in creating or refining production processes
• Being an active member in team and division meetings
• Seeking and responding to feedback on private performance
• Remaining up-to-date on current office policies and procedures

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• A working knowledge of sports teams, players, and rules
• Full-time availability, which will include evenings (solely), weekends, and holidays
• The ability to quickly learn production processes that produce or maintain sports information that drives ESPN's digital and television items
• The capacity to achieve a high level of content accuracy in time-sensitive production circumstances
• The ability to communicate confidently – verbally and in writing – to production managers and colleagues about production issues and opportunities, often through the noise of a busy newsroom

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial:

• 1+ years of experience working in sports or potentially statistics, ideally in media
• Knowledge of how sports information is used in media and for research purposes
• Working knowledge of ESPN items and productions
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and other Office tools
• Experience leading or training a team
• The ability to speak and write Spanish
• Experience involving social media in a business or news environment

Education Requirements

* High school diploma or equivalent

• Preferred education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent
