Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry/Intake Specialist to join our team at arenaflex. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating patient profiles, processing orders, and managing incoming documents. Responsibilities

As a Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry/Intake Specialist at arenaflex, your key responsibilities will include:

• Creating patient profiles and processing orders in a timely manner from electronic prescription and fax queues
• Requesting refill prescriptions as appropriate
• Managing incoming documents from the fax server
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Providing exceptional customer service to patients, providers, and payers
• Collaborating with the pharmacy team to ensure seamless order processing and patient care

Qualifications and Responsibilities

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Good interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal, written, and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and be flexible
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of medical terminology, including sig codes and Roman numerals, brand and generic names of medications, and general pharmacy terminology
• Ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently when inputting information
• Licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
• Basic math and analytical skills
• Intermediate typing/keyboarding skills

Education and Experience

* High School Diploma or GED

• Licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
• Previous experience in pharmacy (1+ years required, 3+ years desired)

Skills and Knowledge

* Pharmacy or healthcare-related knowledge

• Knowledge of pharmacy terminology, including sig codes and Roman numerals, brand and generic names of medications
• Basic math and analytical skills
• Intermediate typing/keyboarding skills
• Specialty pharmacy experience (desired)

License or Certification

* Pharmacy Technician registration/certification

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB) (desired)
