The Opportunity

We are seeking a Product Manager Team Lead with a strong background in Oncology to own and drive our product initiatives from concept to delivery. This highly influential role sits at the intersection of clinical genomics, bioinformatics, and software development, requiring both deep scientific expertise and strong product execution skills. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead the product management team and play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering oncology functionalities with high technical complexity.

Role Responsibilities

  • Team Management: Own day-to-day people management including goal setting, task prioritization, regular feedback, performance reviews, and onboarding.
  • Skill Development: Support continuous learning and domain expertise across the team, fostering strong product and technical capabilities.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Serve as the primary product voice across the organization, uniting diverse stakeholders around shared goals and priorities.
  • Requirements Translation: Convert market needs into clear, actionable product requirements and drive the end-to-end product development process.
  • Client Insights: Understand current and future client needs to champion new features and unlock growth within the existing client base.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and nurture strong partnerships with clients and partners to ensure successful early adoption of new products.
  • Opportunity Identification: Evaluate unmet needs and emerging opportunities across discovery, development, and commercialization stages.
  • Product Definition: Define clear requirements, success metrics, and prioritization frameworks to guide product decisions.
  • Go-to-Market Partnership: Collaborate with marketing and commercial teams to shape positioning, messaging, and communication strategy.
  • Strategic Prioritization: Scope and prioritize initiatives based on business impact, customer value, and organizational capacity.
  • Cross-functional Alignment: Bridge product strategy and project execution to ensure delivery is impactful, timely, and well-coordinated.
  • Best Practices: Help establish and champion product management standards and processes across the organization.

The Ideal Candidate (Profile)

The ideal candidate combines an expertise in oncology and proven experience leading product teams, translating complex scientific insights into market-ready solutions, and driving cross-functional products from concept through commercialization.

What you will bring:

  • Academic Background: Master’s and/or PhD in Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, or related field.
  • Industry Experience: Strong hands-on professional experience in NGS clinical workflows and/or bioinformatics, including sequencing instruments, assays, variant and biomarker calling and interpretation. Solid experience in regulated environments (IVDR, CLIA, or similar).
  • Oncology & NGS Expertise: Deep knowledge of NGS oncology workflows, from sample collection and preparation to library preparation and report generation. 
  • Market Knowledge: Proven understanding of NGS customer segments, applications, and market dynamics.
  • Leadership Experience: Prior experience managing a product team, including providing consistent feedback, coaching and mentoring.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Demonstrated effectiveness working in highly cross-functional organizational settings.
  • Market Development: Proven track record of building new markets and developing market strategy from the ground up.
  • Communication & Presentation: Effective public speaker with presentation experience and the ability to simplify complex scientific concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Product Delivery: Demonstrated success owning and delivering complex, cross-functional products end-to-end.
  • Software & Lifecycle Knowledge: Strong understanding of software development, project management, and the full biotech software product lifecycle from development through commercialization.
  • Problem Solving & Ownership: Strong decision-making skills with the ability to take initiative,data-driven decisions and own outcomes.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Good knowledge of other foreign languages (e.g., French, German) will be considered a plus.
  • Travel Availability: Willingness and ability to travel internationally for business as needed.
