Position Overview Cologix is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Intern to join our Human Resources team. This internship offers hands-on experience across multiple HR functions, including HR systems (HRIS), onboarding, benefits administration, reporting and analytics, and talent acquisition support. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a strong foundation in Human Resources within a dynamic and growing organization.

The internship will run for 10 weeks, up to 40 hours a week, commencing on June 1 and concluding on or around August 7.

What you do daily:

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with maintaining and updating employee data within the HRIS, ensuring accuracy and data integrity
  • Support the new hire onboarding process, including coordination, documentation, and ensuring a positive employee experience
  • Support benefits administration processes, including enrollments, audits, and employee inquiries
  • Help generate HR reports and dashboards; assist with data analysis to support business decisions
  • Provide administrative and coordination support for Talent Acquisition activities (e.g., interview scheduling, background check screening and candidate tracking)
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives, including process improvements and documentation updates
  • Served as a first point of contact for high-level employee inquiries, exercising sound judgment to interpret policies, resolve issues, and escalate complex matters appropriately
  • Support general HR operations and contribute to miscellaneous team projects as needed

What makes you a good fit: (Qualifications)
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university as a rising third- or fourth-year undergraduate student.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Analytical mindset with an interest in working with data and reporting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with HR systems is a plus
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
  • Self-starter with a willingness to learn and take initiative
  • Preferred Qualifications

    • Prior internship or coursework related to HR, business analytics, or operations
    • Familiarity with HRIS platforms or applicant tracking systems (ATS)
