POSITION OVERVIEW

ADB is seeking a Project Accountant to join the corporate finance team.  This role is responsible for preparing general ledger entries, preparing financial statements and reviewing financial reports with operational groups .  The ideal candidate will be analytical, organized and customer centric, with a strong work ethic and ALL IN attitude to achieve results.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides timely reports showing actual and projected project financials of varying contract type, size, and scope; reviews results with financial and operational leadership
  • Oversee project set up process to ensure projects are setup in accordance with established accounting standards and internal processes
  • Prepares monthly WIP schedules, JCR's, and budgets for internal operational groups; hosts initial reviews with operational groups
  • Has mid-level financial acumen; assists in analyzing the financial impact of operational business decisions and issues affecting the company; provides suggestions
  • Ability to read, review and understand construction contract language to identify potential change orders and provide accurate revenue recognition
  • Oversees inventory levels in relations to actual monthly construction production in support of monthly WIP reporting
  • Performs other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • 3+ years of Accounting or Finance experience required
  • 3+ years of experience in Construction Accounting experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

The starting pay for this position is $65,000 and may vary based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.
