Position Overview & Objective

The Inside Sales Representative for Tools is a high-velocity role focused on the rapid acquisition of new customers and the expansion of existing accounts within the SLED (State, Local, Education) and Healthcare sectors. You will manage a high volume of inbound leads and trial downloads, using your broad product knowledge to match specific IT "pain points" with the right subscription-based tools. The goal is to drive quick wins, high transaction counts, and recurring revenue by making it easy for public sector and medical IT pros to buy and deploy our solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • High-Velocity Sales: Manage a high volume of "warm" inbound leads, converting trial downloads into active subscriptions through rapid follow-up and expert qualification.
  • Consultative "Toolbox" Matching: Navigate a diverse portfolio of IT tools to recommend the specific solution that fits the customer's immediate technical need and budget.
  • SLED/Healthcare Navigation: Identify "under-the-radar" purchasing opportunities where IT managers can use discretionary budgets or departmental funds for quick tool procurement.
  • Subscription Focus: Educate customers on the value of subscription models, ensuring they understand the long-term benefits of continuous updates and support.
  • Rapid-Fire Demos: Conduct focused, "snackable" product demonstrations that highlight immediate ROI for specific features (e.g., log management, IP address tracking, or remote support).
  • Channel Acceleration: Partner with VARs to quickly process quotes and POs, leveraging existing contract vehicles to remove friction from the buying process.
  • Pipeline Hygiene: Maintain a high-activity pace in Salesforce, ensuring that a large volume of small-to-mid-sized deals are moving through the funnel daily.

Basic Qualifications

  • Transactional Agility: Proven ability to manage a high-volume pipeline with short sales cycles (weeks, not months).
  • Technical Curiosity: The ability to quickly learn and differentiate between multiple products within a large portfolio.
  • SLED/Healthcare Awareness: Familiarity with the unique "buying seasons" of schools and government agencies (e.g., June/September fiscal year-ends).
  • Communication: Sharp, concise oral and written skills; you must be able to explain the "why" of a tool in under 5 minutes.
  • Self-Starter: A high-energy "doer" who thrives on hitting daily activity metrics and closing multiple deals per week.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Portfolio Experience: 2+ years of experience selling a wide range of SaaS or subscription-based IT tools.
  • Sector Success: Experience selling into public sector or healthcare environments where security and compliance (HIPAA/FERPA) are top of mind.
  • Platform Savvy: Proficiency in Salesforce and high-velocity sales tools (e.g., 6Sense, Outreach, or similar).
