Operations Associate - Insurance Verification

We are looking for a detail-oriented Operations Associate to support our revenue and operations workflows by managing insurance verification and charge entry transactions. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate patient insurance data, correct coding, and timely transaction processing. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with insurance verification, understands medical coding basics (including ICD codes), and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, process-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities • Perform insurance eligibility and benefits verification across payers prior to services • Accurately enter charges and transactions into internal systems and billing platforms • Review patient demographics, insurance details, and coverage information for accuracy • Work with ICD codes and ensure correct mapping during charge entry and verification • Identify discrepancies or missing information and coordinate with internal teams for resolution • Maintain detailed documentation and logs for verifications and transactions completed • Follow SOPs and compliance standards while handling sensitive patient and insurance data • Meet daily productivity and accuracy benchmarks consistently • Support night-shift operations and collaborate with U.S.-based teams as required

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in insurance verification, charge entry, or healthcare operations • Working knowledge of ICD codes and basic medical billing terminology • Experience handling insurance transactions, eligibility checks, and benefit verification • Strong attention to detail with high accuracy in data entry • Good written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications • Experience working with U.S. healthcare insurance payers • Prior exposure to EHR, billing, or practice management systems • Understanding of HIPAA and patient data confidentiality • Experience working in remote or night-shift operations
