Teletherapist Position

Job Title: Teletherapist - Mental Health

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teletherapist to join our mental health team. As a Teletherapist, you will provide virtual counseling and therapy sessions to individuals dealing with various mental health issues. Using telecommunication technologies, you will offer support, guidance, and evidence-based interventions to help clients navigate their challenges and improve their overall well-being.

Responsibilities

1. Conduct virtual therapy sessions with clients via secure video conferencing platforms.
2. Assess clients' mental health concerns, symptoms, and needs through comprehensive evaluations and ongoing assessments.
3. Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique goals, strengths, and challenges.
4. Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions to address a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties.
5. Provide empathetic support and guidance to help clients explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and develop coping strategies and problem-solving skills.
6. Collaborate with clients to set achievable goals and monitor progress throughout the therapeutic process.
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including session notes, treatment plans, and progress reports, in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
8. Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and professional codes of ethics governing teletherapy practice.
9. Participate in regular supervision, case consultations, and continuing education to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
10. Stay informed about advancements in the field of mental health and teletherapy, and incorporate new research and best practices into clinical practice.

Qualifications

1. Master's or doctoral degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
2. Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a mental health professional (e.g., Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) in the state where services will be provided.
3. Prior experience providing therapy or counseling services, preferably in a teletherapy or remote setting.
4. Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic alliances with clients remotely.
6. Comfort and proficiency in using telecommunication technologies and virtual therapy platforms.
7. Commitment to cultural competence, diversity, equity, and inclusion in mental health practice.
8. Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in accordance with professional guidelines and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals from different cultural backgrounds, identities, and life experiences.
2. Specialized training or expertise in specific therapeutic modalities or areas of practice (e.g., cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma-informed and care.
3. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and teletherapy platforms commonly used in mental health practice.
4. Bilingual or multilingual proficiency is a plus.

Working Conditions

• This is a remote position, allowing flexibility in work location.
• Tele-therapists must have a private and secure environment conducive to conducting therapy sessions.
