Role Overview

The Product Designer role is integral to crafting compelling user experiences and interfaces for our software products. This position requires a creative individual with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of user-centered design principles. The Product Designer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products meet the needs of our customers while aligning with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • User Research and Analysis:
    • Conduct thorough user research to gain insights into customer needs, pain points, and behaviors.
    • Analyze user feedback and data to identify areas for improvement in the product's design.
  • Wireframing and Prototyping:
    • Create wireframes, user flows, and prototypes to visually communicate design concepts.
    • Iterate on designs based on feedback from stakeholders and usability testing.
  • UI/UX Design:
    • Develop visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces for our SaaS products.
    • Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
  • Design System Management:
    • Contribute to the development and upkeep of a design system to maintain consistency across products.
    • Advocate for design best practices and standards within the organization.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to align design efforts with business goals.
    • Participate actively in cross-functional team meetings and contribute to product planning.
  • Usability Testing:
    • Plan and execute usability testing to validate design decisions and gather user feedback.
    • Utilize insights from testing to drive data-driven design improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven track record as a Product Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing design work.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices in usability.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with SaaS product design and B2B software solutions.
  • Knowledge of front-end development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively articulate design decisions and rationale.
