Description Employer: Amazon.com Services LLC Position: Sr Manager, Operations - AMZ11213.14 Location: Staten Island, NY Multiple Positions Available: 1. Own and deliver the operational budget for functional area, including safety, productivity, financial and labor planning, and operational goals for outbound, or inbound operations 2. Responsible for providing strategic level/long-term planning (3, 6, and 12 months out) including labor planning, rate forecasting, and peak season planning 3. Drive continuous improvement projects to optimize operations and improve productivity to meet and exceed business objectives; works on strategic projects that have total building and network-wide impact. Effectively leverage the Operations and Area Managers to solicit ideas and understand problems and challenges in the building. 4. Network with other leaders across the network to solicit and share process improvements and drive efficiencies and cost savings. 5. Establish objectives and metrics for safety, quality, productivity, and customer experience 6. Set clear goals and expectations for Operations and Area Managers. Measures performance, provides feedback, and holds leaders accountable 7. Mentor and develop leaders and staff 8. Participate in recruiting to identify and evaluate associates and internal/external candidates for promotion and hire. 9. Work closely with support staff (HR, Finance, Maintenance Engineering, Safety, IT and other leaders) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives (40 hours / week, 8:00am-5:00pm, Salary Range $148500 - $200900) Amazon.com is an Equal Opportunity - Affirmative Action Employer - Minority / Female / Disability / Veteran / Gender Identity / Sexual Orientation Basic Qualifications Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations, Management or a related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations, Management or a related field followed by 5 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Experience must include: 1. 1 year of management experience, including a salaried workforce, in a manufacturing, production, distribution, or logistics environment. 2. 1 year of experience with performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean methodologies 3. 1 year of experience in leadership development training 4. 1 year of experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and terminations. The pay range for this position in Staten Island, NY is $148500/year to $200900/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
