Operative Office
Operative Office is an integrated architecture and development practice specializing in affordable housing and community-anchored projects. They are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Designer to assist in all phases of projects, including Concept Design and Construction Documents, while demonstrating strong team collaboration and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, coordination and documentation of mid-rise, affordable multi-family projects as well as community-serving civic and commercial projects
Skills
- Bachelor of Architecture or Master's degree in Architecture
- Minimum 1+ years of professional design experience in an architecture office
- Strong design sense with strong graphic and technical skills including proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, rendering software (V-Ray, Enscape, or Twinmotion), physical model-making, and Adobe Creative Suite software
- Proficiency in Revit is a plus
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to be involved in all aspects of a project
- Strong team collaboration and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and clients
- Resident of Los Angeles or in the vicinity of Los Angeles required for a hybrid work environment with a minimum of four days per week in the office
- We require applicants to have the legal right and authorization in place to work in the US when applying for this position
- Experience with multifamily affordable housing a plus
