Customer Service Specialist (Seasonal)

Resource Central is an award-winning nonprofit in Boulder, Colorado, focused on making conservation simple. They are seeking a Customer Service Specialist to provide outstanding customer service, complete administrative tasks, and support field staff in their water conservation efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Help people conserve water by becoming an expert on Slow the Flow program processes, procedures, and software; we provide training
  • Deliver outstanding customer service for all program participants, primarily via phone and email
  • Schedule Slow the Flow appointments including sprinkler evaluations and smart control clock and rain sensor installations
  • Support 15+ field staff as they provide Slow the Flow water conservation services
  • Participate in regularly scheduled meetings in person, online, and on the phone
  • Assist with other Slow the Flow tasks or Resource Central programs as assigned
  • Foster Inclusion to help build a strong sense of belonging by ensuring everyone feels welcomed, valued, and included at Resource Central

Skills

  • Outstanding customer service skills and ability to maintain a positive, solution-oriented attitude is required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age upon start date; High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail required
  • Computer skills and proficiency with Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word required; we provide computer equipment
  • Ability to work remotely with reliable access to the internet required
  • Valid driver's license, automobile insurance, access to a reliable automobile, and a smartphone required
  • Must pass and maintain a clean background check and driving record evaluation if offered a position
  • Travel to Boulder or other Colorado Front Range cities approximately 10% of the time required
  • Ability to safely lift up to 30 lbs and willingness to work outside approximately 10% of the time required
  • Knowledge of water conservation, gardening, sprinkler systems, lawn removal, or low-water landscaping preferred
  • Bilingual skills are a plus
