[Remote] Accounts Receivable Associate

The Accounts Receivable Associate role provides foundational experience in billing, collections, and cash application, supporting key financial processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Generate and deliver accurate customer invoices aligned with contract terms
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and conduct proactive customer outreach
• Apply customer payments daily and resolve discrepancies
• Communicate with customers to address billing questions or escalate as needed
• Collaborate with Sales and Legal teams to ensure billing accuracy
• Support monthly close with AR schedules, reconciliations, and journal entries
• Prepare documentation for audits, compliance, and financial reporting
• Participate in projects to improve AR processes and operational efficiency

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 1–3 years of accounting or accounts receivable experience
• Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with accounting/ERP systems, preferably NetSuite and Salesforce
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for customer interactions
• Willingness to learn and collaborate in a fast-paced environment
