Product Designer II, App Platform, CNN Digital Products & Services

Warner Bros. Discovery is a leading media and entertainment company, and they are seeking a Product Designer II for their CNN Digital Products & Services team. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative mobile app experiences that engage millions of users.

Responsibilities

• You will be an integral part of the product design team that is creating the next generation of CNN mobile apps, from small iterative improvements to long term vision
• You will be embedded in a cross functional squad focused and attend all squad and team ceremonies and be a part of a collaborative culture across CNN Digital
• You’ll partner closely with senior product designers across the organization, product managers and engineering on features and tickets, helping to shape requirements and deliver detailed final files for build
• As a team member, you’ll take part in and collaborate with your cross functional team on QA and testing
• You will collaborate with product and user research on plans for testing and research
• You are encouraged to challenge the status quo, understanding the boundaries of mobile technology, and the CNN business; but most importantly knowing when to push it
• You’ll utilize and evolve our Design System patterns as needed to contribute and create new, cross-platform compatible components

Skills

• 0-2 years' work experience as a digital designer
• Knowledge of visual design elements including typography, layout, and visual hierarchy
• Design portfolio highlighting work in native mobile experiences
• Familiarity with collaboration with internal stakeholders such as product management and engineering
• Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic knowledge of Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud tools
• Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience
• Interest in content creation, strategy, and communication is desirable; media experience is a plus
