Production Planner II - (New England Area)

THE OPPORTUNITY The Production Planner II partners closely with our manufacturing teams and suppliers to keep product flowing, inventory balanced, and customers supported. This role sits at the intersection of planning, purchasing, and plant coordination. You’ll help determine what gets built, when it gets built, and how we respond when demand shifts. You’ll also support purchasing activities, maintain ERP data, and act as a key communication link between sales, manufacturing, and suppliers. Our planning team is fully remote and spread across multiple states, so strong communication and self management are essential. While production planning experience matters, a solid understanding of manufacturing and plant floor operations is just as important. Candidates must be based in the New England area to support collaboration with regional teams and business operations. If you understand how production really works and enjoy working with data, systems, and people. This role reports to the Manager of Production Planning. IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL

  • Plan and coordinate production and purchasing activities to support customer demand and inventory targets across multiple plants
  • Analyze inventory, demand, and ordering patterns to recommend builds, purchase orders, and expedites
  • Manage supplier relationships, including order follow-up, delivery timing, and performance reviews
  • Act as a key liaison between Manufacturing, Sales, and Supply Chain partners to resolve issues and keep work moving
  • Support SIOP activities through data analysis and inventory reviews using ERP and Excel-based tools
  • Maintain accurate planning and purchasing data while contributing to process improvements and system enhancements YOU’LL BRING
  • Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field, or 2 to 3 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, buying, or procurement
  • Manufacturing experience required, with plant-floor exposure strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Office, and ERP systems (Epicor Prophet 21 or Kinetic a plus)
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while staying organized and detail-oriented
  • Flexibility to support both planning and purchasing responsibilities, with a practical, problem-solving mindset WHERE YOU’LL WORK This is a remote role. Our planning team operates across multiple states, offering flexibility while staying closely connected to our manufacturing operations. This range reflects what the company reasonably expects to pay at the time of posting. Where an individual’s pay falls within the range will depend on their skills, background, and performance.
