[Remote] Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer - Steam Turbines & Generators

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. GE Vernova is seeking a Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer specializing in Steam Turbines & Generators. This role involves leading projects focused on industrializing new products and managing processes from concept to production while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Manage/ Lead global NPIs, ToW and outsourcing projects, products and technology to secure Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost
  • Own component introduction/ implementation/ qualification… from design and manufacturability through stable production (industrialization)
  • Serve as an NPI Project Manager in a highly cross-functional environment with engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, product management at Gas Power Level (Incl. Steam, Generator, Gas and Repairs)
  • Improve and standardize the way of working within the team through the application of Lean methodology
  • Ensure the proper team is engaged in the Iterations from concept through final design with cross functional teams to ensure balance of producibility and cost
  • Be responsible for on time and on budget delivery of NPIs and strategic projects for both new units and services
  • Serve as a technical process owner for complex problems across a diverse supply chain partnering with stakeholders to solve business critical issues at Gas Power Level
  • Drive new technology and advanced manufacturing techniques that relate to Steam Turbines & Generator components
  • Manage and communicate design change risks and impacts prior to implementation Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline from an accredited college or university (or equivalent experience)
  • 10+ years of engineering/manufacturing/sourcing experience

  • Demonstrated ability to manufacture or engineer out cost/cycle and improve product quality/performance
  • Demonstrated ability to take vague problem, identify action plan, and partner with stakeholders to achieve goals
  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion under tight deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Technical knowledge and experience in Steam Turbines/ Generators
  • Strong project management skills and detail-orientation
  • Six Sigma training or equivalent quality training
