Experienced Customer Service Representative – Inbound Call Center Specialist – No Sales, Full-Time Positions

Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Customer Service Representatives to join our Inbound Call Center team. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for handling incoming calls from excavators, homeowners, and facility operators, providing technical and emergency damage prevention services for Gopher State One Call, a statewide non-profit organization. You will work closely with our team to ensure that our customers receive the highest level of service and support.

Key Responsibilities

* Answer inbound calls and follow scripted questions from callers who will be digging

• Obtain information about the customers and their work site
• Data enter information into a ticket format
• Identify the work site on a mapping system similar to Google Maps
• Communicate effectively and create positive relationships with excavators, peers, and management
• Process information quickly and accurately using outlined criteria
• Accurately read digital maps
• Provide excellent customer service at all times
• Demonstrate an interest in public safety
• Understand and apply new concepts
• Ability to work effectively and independently in a home or office environment

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or GED

• Ability to listen and problem solve effectively
• General computer skills
• Ability to adhere to a work schedule including having good attendance
• Ability to work as a team
• Be self-motivated and able to work independently
• Willingness to work overtime based upon the business needs of the call center
• Availability to work during operating hours of the call center
• Must pass a criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications

* Prior experience in a call center environment

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new concepts and technologies
