Web Consultant

  • Pay Rate: 75-90hr
  • Purpose The Web Consultant ensures that website services are strategically driven, technically excellent, and continuously optimized for client growth and retention. This position bridges the gap between strategy, development, and performance, enabling PG to move from reactive web support to proactive, revenue-generating website strategy and optimization. Must Haves:
  • Experience with WordPress
  • Experience with HubSpot
  • Comfortable with many projects at various phases
  • Able to consult on website related issues (but not required to solve every issue) Role Summary The Web Consultant integrates strategy, development, server administration, and optimization, ensuring each project is aligned with client goals, executed efficiently, and maintained at a high standard of quality and performance. The position combines hands-on expertise in WordPress & Hubspot development, UX design, SEO, CRO, and hosting management with excellence in project planning, developer coordination, and web process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of all website projects across platforms (WordPress, HubSpot, custom).
  • Lead discovery, audits, and proposal development for new web initiatives and redesigns.
  • Translate marketing objectives into clear web strategies and measurable optimization goals.
  • Build a proactive audit and improvement program across client websites. Web Development Leadership & Technical Oversight
  • Provide experienced technical leadership across website projects, helping plan, scope, and guide development efforts from discovery through launch.
  • Contribute directly to development when it meaningfully advances the project, particularly in complex or high-impact areas.
  • Oversee, support, and quality-check the work of in-house and contracted developers, ensuring alignment with project goals and best practices.
  • Champion standards for code quality, accessibility, performance, and maintainability, in collaboration with the broader development team. Hosting & Infrastructure Management
  • Serve as main point of contact for hosting-related matters and server environments across the PG web portfolio.
  • Manage DNS, SSL, caching, backups, and uptime monitoring.
  • Establish processes for security, incident response, and reliability. Optimization & Growth Enablement
  • Conduct SEO, UX, and CRO audits to identify measurable growth opportunities.
  • Develop and implement improvement roadmaps with cross-functional collaboration (design, content, AMs).
  • Partner with account managers to pitch and deliver optimization projects that drive client success. Team Integration Collaborator Contribution Web Developer(s) Execute full website builds, technical integrations, and code-level tasks under direction. Designer Drive UXUI activities, creates wireframes, high fidelity mockups and prototypes aligned with conversion and marketing goals. Copywriter/SEO Develop optimized content aligned with audit insights and web strategy. Engagement Leads Manage client communication, timelines, and proposal coordination. Other Specialists (as needed) HubSpot Technicians and Consultants, CRO, SEO, Paid Media Specialists, etc. Key Deliverables
  • Quarterly Website Health & Opportunity Report across client portfolio
  • Standardized Discovery & Conversion Audit Framework
  • Hosting & Reliability Dashboard (uptime, SSL, DNS, backups)
  • Website Project Status Tracker with milestones and ownership visibility Success Metrics
  • 95%+ uptime across hosted portfolio
  • On-time delivery for website projects
  • At least 3 proactive optimization initiatives proposed and approved per quarter
  • Documented growth in organic traffic and conversions across optimized sites
  • Reduction in reactive maintenance workload over time Expected Outcomes
  • Transform PG’s website services into a proactive, high-value offering that drives measurable client growth.
  • Improve team efficiency, visibility, and delivery predictability across all web projects.
  • Strengthen PG’s technical foundation, reducing risk and reactive issues.
