Art Director & Creative Project Manager

Location: Remote, Philippines Status: Full-time Shift: 6pm - 2 am (Manila time) ABOUT SPARKPORTAL At SparkPortal, we provide video content strategy and production specifically for SaaS and B2B companies. Our differentiator from other video agencies is that our business model is Video-as-a-Service. Unlike other video agencies, we work closer to the customer as their internal video team. Our clients trust our advice and follow our instructions instead of just submitting order requests. 60% of the videos we make for our clients are animation and motion graphics projects (Explainers, Promos, and Sizzles). In comparison, 40% of the videos are video editing projects (Riverside Interviews & Testimonials, Podcasts, & Webinar repurposing.) ABOUT THE ROLE This role will own the art direction, quality control and project management of all video projects by ensuring the creative team is providing high-quality video content for the clients. You will also be in charge of quality control, assigning tasks and moving projects along in Clickup. This role is an internal role but you will be required to meet with clients from time to time, so English communication and attention to detail are a must. RESPONSABILITIES Project Planning & Scoping - Onboard new project requests from clients - Translate video creative briefs into clear project requirements - Develop video project plans and timelines - Estimate resources and schedules (Designers and Animators) Team & Resource Management - Manage workload, capacity, and allocation across multiple projects Communication - Provide regular updates, gather feedback, and manage approvals. - Collaborate with Associate Creative Director and Creative Director - Manage expectations and resolve conflicts. - Facilitate smooth collaboration within the team Risk & Issue Management - Anticipate challenges and develop mitigation strategies. (tight deadlines, resource gaps, scope creep) - Monitor issues and escalate when necessary. - Adjust plans proactively when challenges arise Project Monitoring & Delivery - Oversee daily project activities to ensure tasks stay on track. - Track progress and ensure deadlines are met. - Adjust schedules as needed while keeping deadlines realistic. - Ordering VO for projects - Review deliverables and ensure quality standards and requirements are met Workflow and Process Optimization - Maintain ClickUp processes and find ways to increase efficiency Project Documentation - Maintain up-to-date lists like project history, approved projects, and pod scorecard. Project Wrap-Up - Deliver final outputs to creative director - Close out and archive projects in ClickUp and Dropbox JOB REQUIREMENTS - 5+ years of experience as a project Manager or similar role - 5+ years of agency experience - Proven art direction or project management experience in managing multiple clients simultaneously - Understanding of creative craft with a solid ability to scope, budget, and manage strict timelines and milestones - High-level understanding of Digital advertising and social media platforms or Branding and communications - Familiarity with the Adobe Suite (Ps, Ai, Ae, Id) and Figma - Interest in AI and some knowledge of the leading creative AI tools (especially Midjourney and ChatGPT) - An organized, customer-centric, and detail-oriented approach with an account management mindset - Excellent verbal and written English skills with the ability to present ideas and coordinate work in large international groups - Autonomy, decisiveness, and accountability MORE ABOUT SPARKPORTAL SparkPortal is an innovative video content agency with a twist!
