Key Responsibilities

As a Staff Software Engineer on our Customer Identity team, you'll be responsible for:

  • Designing and implementing innovative and reliable digital products that manage and serve customer-centric data to all enterprise applications
  • Defining technical architecture for complex applications that manage customer profiles
  • Serving as a technical SME for key platforms, ensuring they are sound technically and making strategic decisions based on technical requirements
  • Clear communication with product, program, design, and other engineering teams and partners
  • As needed, helping to hire world-class engineers to up-level the overall engineering organization

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Software engineering and development experience, including programming languages, tools, and best practices
  • Cloud-native technologies expertise
  • Systems and distributed systems knowledge
  • Technical leadership experience, with a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams
  • At least 9 years of experience in software development

What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

While not required, the following skills and qualifications will give you a competitive edge:

  • Experience with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful Services, SQL, Oracle, Postgres, JPA, PCF, Kubernetes, and Azure
  • Familiarity with modern development tools
  • Strong writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to lead other engineers by influence
  • Experience mentoring engineers of various levels

Education

We're looking for candidates with a strong educational background in computer science or a related field. A Master's or Ph.D. in computer science is preferred, but not required.

Work Environment & Company Culture

As a hybrid employee, you'll be expected to report to one of our locations three times a week, at minimum. Our offices are located in Austin, Detroit, Warren, Pontiac, Milford, Atlanta, or Mountain View. Compensation & Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package, including:

  • Base compensation: $135,800-285,300 (actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position)
  • Incentive pay program: payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance
