Sr. Marketing Automation Specialist - Remote

As our Senior Marketing Automation Specialist, you’ll be the go-to expert for building, optimizing, and scaling automated email programs that help us connect with customers in meaningful ways. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves to blend strategy, data, and technology to deliver high-performing marketing campaigns. WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Estimated Salary: $74,000 - $95,500, plus annual bonus opportunity.

  • Build, test, and deploy automated email journeys and triggered communications in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, ensuring each campaign runs smoothly from setup to send.
  • Use data, scripting languages, and advanced ESP capabilities to create dynamic, personalized content that delivers meaningful customer experiences.
  • Integrate Salesforce Marketing Cloud with other systems to improve efficiency, strengthen capabilities, and support evolving marketing strategies.
  • Translate business goals into scalable automation solutions, documenting and sharing best practices to drive consistency across the team.
  • Troubleshoot technical or deliverability issues to ensure strong inbox placement and maintain Mutual of Omaha’s trusted email reputation. WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Journey Builder, Automation Studio, triggered sends) and a deep understanding of how to build complex automated programs.
  • Proficiency with HTML, CSS, and AMPscript, with the ability to develop responsive, data-driven emails.
  • Strong knowledge of email marketing best practices, testing, and compliance standards such as CAN-SPAM and CCPA.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools like arenaflex Analytics or Tealium, and a data-informed approach to improving campaign performance.

  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico. PREFERRED:
  • 3+ years of Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience and a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist Certification.
  • Experience working with APIs, lifecycle email campaigns, or system-to-system integrations that support automation at scale.
  • A background in digital marketing strategy or the financial services industry, bringing a deeper understanding of audience behavior and customer engagement.
