About the Role As Director of Technology Strategy & Governance you will lead the design, implementation, and evolution of Kohl’s enterprise technology governance program. This role establishes the standards, decision frameworks, and operating rhythms that ensure technology investments and delivery are aligned with business priorities while enabling agility, innovation, and risk-aware execution. This is a hands-on leadership role that partners closely with technology leadership and business stakeholders to embed and execute governance that is practical and scalable. The Director is accountable for driving alignment and operational excellence across the technology portfolio, ensuring technology priorities are clearly defined, effectively governed, and successfully executed. This role ensures that value from technology initiatives is consistently articulated, measured, and realized across the enterprise. What You’ll Do

  • Drive alignment between technology delivery and business priorities, ensuring execution, agility, and innovation
  • Organize and consolidate technology roadmaps into a unified format for executive review and communication across the enterprise
  • Ensure successful execution of technology priorities by streamlining processes, managing demand, and driving operational excellence
  • Partner closely with the CTO and technology leadership team to clearly define, measure, and ensure the delivery of value
  • Facilitate and continuously improve standardized processes, templates, and tools that enable consistent planning, tracking, and reporting
  • Track, monitor, and report progress against technology objectives and key results (OKRs) to support data-driven decision making
  • Develop and manage communications from the CTO office to key stakeholders, including senior executives, business partners, and technology teams
  • Additional tasks may be assigned

What Skills You Have Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in technology leadership, program management, or strategic operations in a large, complex organization
  • Demonstrated experience designing and evolving technology governance models
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Proven experience consolidating roadmaps, managing demand intake processes, and ensuring accountability for measurable business outcomes
