As a key member of our sales floor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, building strong relationships with customers, and driving sales success in our various store departments.

Job Summary

As a Customer Service/Sales Associate at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing fast, friendly, and personalized service to customers, assessing their needs, and providing assistance with product selection and sales
  • Developing a deep understanding of department and product knowledge to effectively recommend and sell products to customers
  • Maintaining a clean, shoppable, and safe store environment, including in-stock condition of assigned areas
  • Collaborating with Department Supervisors and other associates to achieve sales goals and provide exceptional customer service
  • Working safely and following all safety policies and standards to ensure a safe working and shopping environment

Key Responsibilities

* Greet and qualify customers, providing personalized service and recommendations to meet their needs

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of department and product knowledge to effectively recommend and sell products to customers
  • Maintain a clean, shoppable, and safe store environment, including in-stock condition of assigned areas
  • Collaborate with Department Supervisors and other associates to achieve sales goals and provide exceptional customer service
  • Work safely and follow all safety policies and standards to ensure a safe working and shopping environment
  • Participate in sales promotions, events, and activities to drive sales and customer engagement
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, including Pro Accounts and repeat customers
  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including handling returns and exchanges
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge and stay up-to-date on new products and promotions

Essential Qualifications

* 1-2 years of experience in customer service or sales, preferably in a retail or building materials environment

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management
  • Strong product knowledge and ability to learn quickly about new products and promotions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to handle customer complaints and issues effectively
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time, with frequent bending and reaching

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a sales floor environment, with a focus on customer service and sales

  • Knowledge of building materials and home improvement products, including tools, hardware, and building supplies
  • Experience working with Pro Accounts and repeat customers
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues in multiple languages
