Remote · USA Full-time New today

About the position Blue Yonder Property Group (BYPG) is a privately held real estate investment firm focused on acquiring, developing, and managing commercial properties across office, retail, mixed-use, and residential sectors. Since 2010, the founders have collectively overseen more than $810 million in real estate across 45 investments in 10 markets, with 67% of historical deals sourced off-market. With over 20 years of average industry experience and nearly two decades working together, the team combines institutional expertise in leasing, asset management, construction, and operations with a data- and technology-driven investment approach. BYPG targets high-growth markets supported by population and employment trends, executing disciplined, tenant-focused strategies designed to create long-term value and resilient community impact. Role Overview The Real Estate Underwriting Analyst supports the firm’s acquisitions platform through accurate financial modeling, underwriting execution, market research, and data integrity. This is a high-volume, execution-focused role designed to enable senior investment leaders to focus on judgment, negotiations, and capital decisions. This is not a decision-making position. Success is measured by accuracy, speed, reliability, and process adherence.

Responsibilities

  • Input rent rolls, operating statements, comps, and market data into underwriting models and Argus
  • Maintain clean, audit-ready financial models with validated assumptions
  • Identify discrepancies and flag inconsistencies proactively
  • Support 8–10 underwriting assignments per week with high accuracy
  • Enter and maintain new deal opportunities in CRM systems
  • Route on-market offerings through internal systems within 24–48 hours
  • Support off-market and broker outreach processes per SOP
  • Ensure pipeline data integrity and completeness across tools
  • Pull rent, lease, and sale comps from CoStar (or comparable platforms)
  • Populate screening sheets and investment committee materials
  • Prepare charts, visuals, and structured data summaries as directed
  • Support memo preparation with clean quantitative outputs
  • Draft Letters of Intent (LOIs) using approved templates
  • Maintain diligence trackers and organize third-party deliverables
  • Coordinate documentation and file management during closing
  • Maintain consistent, accurate data across CRM, underwriting models, and reporting tools
  • Conduct self-QC before submission
  • Improve process reliability and system hygiene over time

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of commercial real estate underwriting or acquisitions support experience
  • Strong Excel skills (advanced formulas, structured financial modeling)
  • Experience inputting and validating financial data
  • Familiarity with Argus (preferred)
  • Experience using CoStar or comparable market data tools
  • High attention to detail and strong deadline discipline
  • Comfortable applying foundational financial concepts in real estate contexts
  • English must be strong enough for clear internal communication, though the role is mostly internal-facing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Process-oriented and highly organized
  • Comfortable in execution-heavy environments
  • Self-checking and quality-driven
  • Resourceful and curious
  • Thrives in structured systems and high-throughput workflows

Benefits

  • Full-time position (8 working hours per day, Monday–Friday) aligned with U.S. business hours (EST or CST).
  • Remote work. You may be located in any city, provided you have a reliable internet connection, a suitable work setup, and the ability to consistently align with the team’s time zone.
  • Direct exposure to live U.S. commercial real estate transactions across acquisitions, underwriting, and diligence processes.
  • A meaningful opportunity to deepen your expertise in commercial real estate financial analysis within an active investment platform.
  • The opportunity to work closely with experienced investment professionals while being part of a lean, high-performance team.
