AI Developer - Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform - REMOTE WORK - 67398 Pay Range - $75 - $80/hr We have an immediate long-term opportunity with one of our prime clients for a position AI Developer - Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform to work on Remote basis. Two keys focus areas:

  • Very strong with Copilot Studio
  • Very strong with AI Builder
  • All candidates supporting the CMS programs must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years prior in order to be considered.
  • The work schedule is 9am 5pm EST
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust or higher

AI Developer - Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform Position Overview We are seeking a highly experienced AI Developer with project related experience deploying Microsoft Copilot Studio and Power Platform. This position will design, build, and deploy advanced AI-driven solutions across enterprise M365 environments. This role will focus on developing RAG-based architectures, custom Copilot agents, AI Builder models, and intelligent automation solutions while ensuring governance, security, and compliance standards are upheld. Primary Responsibilities

  • Design and implement RAG-based solutions integrating Microsoft Copilot Studio into existing Microsoft 365 services (e.g., Microsoft Dataverse, Power Automate).
  • Design and build custom Copilot agents tailored to enterprise use cases.
  • Customize Copilot Studio for automated document management, data analysis, and workflow intelligence across Excel, Teams, and Power BI.
  • Configure and optimize the Semantic Index for context-sensitive search enrichment.
  • Design conversational flows, intents, and entities aligned to UX best practices.
  • Translate stakeholder requirements into scalable Copilot capabilities.
  • Implement governance and Responsible AI best practices (including Microsoft Purview compliance checks).
  • Design, build, and deploy AI Builder models (form processing, prediction, object detection, classification).
  • Own the full AI model lifecycle: data preparation, labeling, training, evaluation, retraining, and optimization.
  • Troubleshoot and enhance bot performance, accuracy, and engagement.
  • Develop Canvas and Model-Driven Apps using Microsoft Power Apps.
  • Implement data integrations leveraging Power Automate and Dataverse.
  • Support roadmap development and service strategy for M365 Power Platform services.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Produce engineering documentation (Visio diagrams, as-built docs, runbooks, operations guides).
  • Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and iterative delivery cycles.
  • Stay current with emerging AI, GenAI, and automation technologies, advising leadership on strategic adoption.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or higher clearance.
  • Must have lived in the United States at least three (3) of the last five (5) years (CMS program requirement).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Copilot Studio and conversational AI design.
  • Strong understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, and agentic AI principles.
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • Copilot Studio (chatbot development, adaptive cards, AI-driven automation)
  • Power Virtual Agents
  • AI Builder model development and lifecycle management
  • Power Apps (Canvas and/or Model-driven)
  • Power Platform and SharePoint integrations
  • Experience building workflows, APIs, custom connectors, and enterprise integrations.
  • Familiarity with AI governance, data compliance, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience with DevOps methodologies and large-scale (10,000+ user) environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with change management or organizational adoption frameworks.
  • Understanding of Capstone and NARA data retention compliance principles.
  • Experience with Power BI dashboards and reporting.
  • Exposure to RPA tools such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism.
  • Experience with ServiceNow (SNOW) ticketing and change control.
  • Microsoft certifications such as PL-100, PL-200, or MS-900.
