Experienced Data Entry Specialist – Medical Bill Processing and Administrative Support

When our employees bring their best and succeed, arenaflex succeeds. We are seeking an experienced Data Entry Specialist to join our team at Horizon Casualty Services. This role is responsible for the initial review, scanning, indexing, and data entry of medical bills received from employers. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently within a team with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

* Review, batch, scan, and index medical bills for processing

  • Data entry of medical bill information into processing systems within prescribed time limits and quality standards
  • Research and obtain further information for incomplete documents
  • Purge both Closed and Central Medical Bill files monthly in accordance with company file destruction policy
  • Prepare outgoing mail for release on a daily basis
  • Assist Customer Service Team with backup phone coverage as needed
  • Provide administrative support to other departments within HCS
  • Perform other duties as requested by Manager

Essential Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • Minimum of 1 year of data entry experience
  • Prefer work experience for an insurer, claim administrator, or self-insurer
  • Prefer claims administration customer service experience
  • Knowledge of CPT codes and ICD-10 codes
  • Proficient with the use of personal computers and supporting software in a Windows-based environment, including MS Office products such as Word and Excel
  • Knowledgeable in the use of intranet and internet applications, including ability to navigate
  • Strong typing, data entry, and keyboarding necessary

  • Ability to work independently within the team with minimal supervision

Compensation and Benefits:

* Salary range: $35,600 - $46,725
