The Sr. Competitive Intelligence Analyst will support the AI for Security portfolio, collaborating with various teams to guide strategy and provide insights into the competitive landscape of AI and machine learning in cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

  • Synthesize and formulate guidance from a variety of information levels and sources (technical, business, field, external) and regularly present key takeaways to the field and to senior leadership
  • Provide a field-actionable, in-depth and ever-evolving understanding and analysis of the AI for Security market relative to CrowdStrike solutions and capabilities
  • Provide tailored deal support (competitive surgeries & guidance), and develop a deep rapport with the field
  • Work closely with the rest of the Competitive Intelligence team at CrowdStrike, as well as other key stakeholders (including the office of the CTO, sales, product, and marketing teams), functioning as a primary liaison for AI for Security competition which includes development of competitive support material and competitive readiness plans
  • Make recommendations on sales tactics and product strategy to enable CrowdStrike to win in the market
  • Be a self-starter with an ownership mentality. You will work autonomously in the development of project plans, requirements, timelines, content, and ongoing tracking/updates of the AI for Security competitive landscape
  • Conduct win/loss analysis, using both quantitative and qualitative data source to determine why CrowdStrike wins and loses vs the competition

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the cybersecurity market with heavy emphasis on the application of AI/Machine Learning, including threat intelligence, behavioral analysis, and automated response
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with data science platforms, machine learning toolkits (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow), and data pipeline architectures
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience (Ideal candidates will have experience in at least TWO of the following): sales engineer/pre-sales, competitive intelligence, solution architect, product management, technical marketing, and product marketing
  • Proven ability to synthesize complex technical concepts related to AI/ML into field actionable guidance and executive summaries
  • Superior communication skills including experience presenting to senior & executive level management
  • Excellent people and project management skills to manage projects and interact/build rapport with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties
  • Relevant certifications in AI/ML, Data Science, or specialized cybersecurity fields
  • Familiarity with large language models (LLMs) and generative AI in a security context
  • Direct experience with customers (as a customer, or in a customer support or field role) selling or supporting AI-powered security products
