Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Development Representative to join our team in the Grand Prairie office. As a Business Development Representative, you will play a crucial role in driving growth and success in our organization. You will be responsible for prospecting key industry categories, identifying new business opportunities, and building strong relationships with clients and partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in growing the current territory by prospecting key industry categories for potential clients, utilizing existing connections from different markets, and becoming active in local business associations to establish a network of contacts.
  • Prospecting and lead generation using various sources, including social media.
  • Work with divisional leaders and independently to identify new clients within existing large client bases.
  • Maintain strong relationships with our existing client base and acquire referrals to new business verticals.
  • Continuously build and develop your network of potential clients and vendors to establish new opportunities.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree.
  • At least 3 years of sales experience.
  • Past experience in growing new business or developing existing accounts.
  • Past experience in one or more of the following industries: construction, basic systems, service-related industries, logistics, or territory sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to set and meet sales activity benchmarks as well as revenue objectives.
  • Past success in prospecting and lead generation using various sources, including social media.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • 5 years of business development experience.
  • 5 years of sales experience.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
