Zayo is seeking an Intern Law Clerk to be primarily responsible for assisting the corporate legal team. The Intern Law Clerk will gain exposure to a variety of corporate contracts and their negotiation, as well as the various stages of litigation, including dispute resolution and discovery. Learning Outcomes:

  • Gain broad legal experience including contract negotiation, management, and disputes.
  • Gain industry experience, robust knowledge of HR processes and procedures, an education in telecom, and understanding of Zayos foundational role in broadband.
  • Strengthen critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills.
  • Exposure to a variety of networking opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in handling legal disputes with customers and third parties.
  • Review customer and vendor contracts, including NDAs, IT vendor contracts, and real estate contracts.
  • Assist with smaller projects related to corporate governance, M&A and commercial contracting.
  • Assist on labor and employment law issues.
  • Research unique legal issues.
  • Generally support corporate legal group .

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must be enrolled in a degree or certificate seeking program for the fall semester of 202 6 .
  • JD candidate.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative.
  • Ability to quickly learn systems and industry background to achieve efficient results.

Estimated base pay range for this role: $30.00 - $35.00 USD/hour. The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance and 401(k). The posting will be active for a minimum of 3 days.
