Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Maintain Business Relationships: Establish, develop, and maintain strong business relationships with assigned travel agency accounts to promote and sell Delta Get-Aways products and services.
  • Identify New Business Opportunities: Identify, prospect, evaluate, and initiate new travel agency business opportunities to support company objectives and drive sales growth.
  • Conduct Sales Calls: Conduct sales calls with key agency contacts to deliver product and service updates, discuss sales opportunities, and review account performance.
  • Propose and Execute Partnership Agreements: Propose and execute partnership agreements that drive mutual benefit and revenue growth for Delta Get-Aways and our agency partners.
  • Develop Strategic Business Plans: Develop and execute strategic business development plans, including marketing and co-op advertising plans, to drive sales growth and account engagement.
  • Manage Account Performance: Evaluate client business needs, assess account performance, and develop strategic proposals to drive growth and achieve sales objectives.

Essential Qualifications

  • Travel Industry Experience: Two years of experience in the travel industry, preferably in sales or business development.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn new software applications.
  • Numerical Ability: Strong numerical ability, with the ability to manage financial transactions and analyze sales data.
  • Safety and Security: Consistently prioritizes the safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
  • Diversity and Inclusion: Embraces diverse individuals, thinking, and styles, and is committed to creating an inclusive work environment.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
  • Age and Work Authorization: Must be at least 18 years old and have authorization to work in the United States.

  • Delta Get-Aways Knowledge: Knowledge of Delta Get-Aways programs, policies, procedures, and reservation systems.
  • Analytical Skills: Skilled at defining problems, gathering data, establishing facts, and reaching sound conclusions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Multitasking Ability: Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication and Leadership Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with management, staff, and clients.
