Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced IT Operations Manager to join our team, working remotely from the comfort of your own home. As an IT Operations Manager at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for managing local and/or remote resources, assisting the global organization in defining the perfect customer experience, and developing strategies to create that experience. You'll also help the group develop and leverage their knowledge base to expedite the resolution of recurrent issues, identify ways to proactively reduce requests through automation, documentation, and process improvement, and set high standards for issue handling, escalation, and problem management across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage local and/or remote resources to ensure seamless IT support for Amazon employees worldwide

  • Assist the global organization in defining the perfect customer experience and develop strategies to create that experience
  • Help the group develop and leverage their knowledge base to expedite the resolution of recurrent issues
  • Identify ways to proactively reduce requests through automation, documentation, and process improvement
  • Set high standards for issue handling, escalation, and problem management across the organization
  • Guide the team with metrics and goals that clearly measure their success
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including IT teams, business leaders, and customers
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply that knowledge to drive innovation and improvement

Essential Qualifications

* 5 years of experience developing a team of technical professionals across multiple locations

  • 2 years of experience leading technology teams as an IT Operations Manager
  • Bachelor's degree, or 4 years of professional or military experience
  • Knowledge of Linux or Unix systems administration
  • Proven track record of success in IT operations management, with a focus on customer-centricity and innovation
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
  • Experience with IT service management frameworks, such as ITIL
  • Familiarity with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with IT service management tools, such as ServiceNow or BMC Helix

  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Experience with DevOps practices, such as continuous integration and continuous deployment
  • Familiarity with cloud-based collaboration tools, such as Slack or Microsoft Teams
  • Experience with data analytics and reporting tools, such as Tableau or Power BI

Skills and Competencies

* Strong technical skills, with a focus on Linux or Unix systems administration

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
  • Experience with IT service management frameworks, such as ITIL
  • Familiarity with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on customer-centricity and innovation
