Financial Coordinator

Brown & Brown is seeking a Financial Coordinator to join their growing team in Garden City, NY. The Financial Coordinator will support the Finance Unit and process payments for the Workers’ Compensation Department, working closely with the Finance Team Leader.

Responsibilities

  • Update Vendor database in ATS as needed
  • Generate letters to vendors requesting W-9’s, updates ATS, and file forms appropriately
  • Review weekly adjuster pay sheets and correct as needed
  • Prints checks – maintains check log for each client, 1099’s, EOB’s, warrants and check registers
  • Process voids, refunds and recoveries in ATS
  • Prepares and mails client financial reports inclusive of warrant, check register and associated bills
  • Enter payments in ATS: lost time, assessments, plan, and employer charges
  • Provides support for Finance Team Leader as needed
  • Perform Positive Pay function for specific clients
  • Sort paid bills daily by client
  • Confirm actual bills against the daily and weekly warrants
  • Investigate payment discrepancies

Skills

  • Minimum Education – High School Graduate
  • 1 year experience in similar position
  • Proficient in MS Office Software
  • Excellent Oral/Communication skills
