ANALYST I
The Employment Development Department (EDD) is one of the largest State departments in California, focused on connecting job seekers and employers. They are seeking an Analyst I to investigate Unemployment Insurance claims and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Perform an in-depth, thorough investigation of Unemployment Insurance (UI) claims
- Work closely with the unit manager or journey-level BAM analyst conducting accurate reviews of selected BAM cases
- Assess the accuracy and conformity to the Department's UI program and other policy and procedures
- Analyze state and federal laws and regulations to ensure the State continues to administer the UI program effectively and efficiently while protecting the integrity of the UI Trust Fund
- Conduct eligibility determinations
Skills
- Fluency in the Spanish language
- UI or comparable program knowledge and experience
- Extensive UI or comparable experience in conducting eligibility determinations
- Ability to perform in-depth investigations of Unemployment Insurance claims
- Ability to conduct accurate reviews of selected BAM cases
- Ability to assess accuracy and conformity to the Department's UI program and other policy and procedures
- Ability to analyze state and federal laws and regulations
- Ability to conduct interviews with employers, claimants, and field office staff
- Ability to meet the Department of Labor's quality measurement standards
