Senior SAP EPPM (Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management) SME - Remote some travel We are seeking an SAP FICO - EPPM (Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management) SME(and/or construction accounting) to play a critical role in leading organizational transformation initiatives, guiding clients through the process of change of the ERP System to SAP S/4 HANA, and ensuring successful adoption of new strategies, processes, and technologies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in finance and EPM, coupled with strong leadership skills and a proven track record of driving successful change initiatives. Duration: 2-3 years long project, 12 month initial contract Location: fully remote, US & Mexico based candidates Language: English It's for a 3yrs contract L2-3 maintenance and support S/4 HANA. Remote with very occasional travel to Atlanta but should be minimal. Construction Accounting and/or EPPM required Will be supporting EST time zone, Need to be available from end of July/early August This is a lead position and requires senior level candidates with 10yrs+. We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Lead with hands-on expertise in SAP Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management (EPPM) or a strong background in Construction Accounting. This role will lead the design, configuration, and deployment of finance and project systems within SAP to support enterprise-wide financial planning, project management, and operational efficiency. This is a critical role interfacing with finance, operations, and project teams to ensure the SAP landscape supports both corporate financial objectives and project execution requirements. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation and support of SAP FICO modules including GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, and Controlling.
  • Drive SAP EPPM (or construction project accounting) processes related to budgeting, forecasting, WBS elements, and cost control.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial systems with project and portfolio management processes.
  • Configure and maintain integrations between SAP FICO and project systems (EPPM, PS, etc.).
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and write functional specifications.
  • Lead blueprinting, gap analysis, and end-to-end process design.
  • Perform system testing, UAT coordination, and user training.
  • Provide post-go-live support and drive continuous process improvement.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for finance and project-related SAP modules.
  • Required Skills & Experience:
  • 8-10+ years of experience in SAP FICO implementation and support.
  • Proven leadership in at least 2 full-cycle implementation as SAP FICO Lead.
  • Experience with SAP EPPM (Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management) OR solid knowledge of Construction Project Accounting.
  • Expertise in core FICO modules: GL, AP, AR, AA, CO (Cost Centers, Internal Orders, Profit Centers, Product Costing).
  • Strong knowledge of project systems integration with FICO.
  • Excellent business process knowledge in project budgeting, cost tracking, and forecasting.
  • Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA is a plus.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead workshops, write documentation, and guide technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
  • SAP Certification in FICO or Project Systems is a plus.
  • Experience in the construction, engineering, or capital projects industry preferred.
  • Familiarity with SAP PS (Project System) is a bonus.
