About the Role:
As a Distributed Systems Engineer (L4) - Data Platform, you'll be part of a dynamic team that designs, builds, and maintains scalable, high-performance distributed systems. You'll work closely with engineers, product managers, and TPMs across groups to drive cross-functional initiatives and contribute to the development of our data platform.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance distributed systems that enable our business capabilities to make data-driven decisions
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and TPMs across groups to drive cross-functional initiatives and contribute to the development of our data platform
- Apply programming and logical thinking skills to address real business needs at large scale
- Architect and build strong, flexible, and highly accessible distributed foundations
- Drive innovation and contribute to the development of new features and technologies
- Participate in open-source communities and contribute to arenaflex OSS
Focus Areas:

Database Access Stage:
Build and maintain an adaptable query interface that works with data reflections to achieve sub-millisecond latencies while enabling Netflix microservices to store, consume, and manage their data.
Data Stage Foundation:
Develop a platform for our own data platforms, enabling rapid enhancement of cutting-edge data and analytics frameworks for the rest of the organization.
Big Data Figure:
Design and build a cloud-native stage for distributed data processing at arenaflex, providing support for Flash, ETL, and Druid.
Big Data Arrangement:
Offer a platform for planning, organizing, and executing big data jobs and workflows in a self-serve manner, incorporating basic services with ETL and ML responsibilities running on Big Data Frameworks at arenaflex.
Requirements:
* 2+ years of experience in building large-scale distributed systems features or applications
- Proficiency in designing and developing soothing web services
- Experience in building and working with adaptable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems
- Knowledge of Java or other object-oriented programming languages
- Multi-threading is a challenge you're open to handling
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
