Structural Engineering Trainee - Water

CIMA+ is a firm 100% owned by its employees, specializing in civil-structural engineering for various projects. The Structural Engineering Trainee will contribute to water and wastewater infrastructure projects, gaining hands-on experience in structural design and field inspections.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in structural design and prepare drawings and specifications
  • Determine construction costs and quantities, and carry out studies and technical reports
  • Conduct field work including investigations/inspections for the design, retrofit, remediation and construction of structures
  • Review progress and compliance of construction work in accordance with tender documents

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering
  • Up to 2 years of structural engineering experience within heavy civil projects (water or wastewater projects are considered asset)
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
  • A Master's degree in structural engineering will be an asset
  • Enrolment in the SEABC Certificate in Structural Engineering Program will be an asset
