Email Marketing Specialist (Cold Email – Business Funding) Location: United States (Remote) Engagement: 1099 Contractor Compensation: $6,000 / month Role Overview We are building a high-volume outbound cold email engine as a core growth channel in the business funding / MCA space. We are hiring a senior, execution-focused Email Marketing Specialist to own and scale cold email end-to-end. This is a hands-on operator role, not a corporate marketing position. You will own outbound email strategy, copywriting, testing, volume ramp, attribution, and performance. This role owns the build and scaling of an outbound email engine that ramps from low thousands per day to sustained six-figure daily send volume (~100,000/day) as the system matures. You will be supported by:

  • a dedicated designer (landing pages and creative execution)
  • a dedicated data specialist (list building and enrichment)

Your responsibility is to turn outbound email into a predictable, scalable production channel. Infrastructure & Working Setup All outbound email work will be executed within company-owned tools and accounts, including domains, inboxes, sending platforms, CRM, tracking, and documentation. You will be given access to everything required to do your job effectively. This setup ensures continuity, clean handoffs, and long-term ownership of the systems we’re building together. The expectation is that all work remains centralized, documented, and fully operable within the company’s environment at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Outbound Email Ownership

  • Build and operate high-volume cold email campaigns in business funding / lending
  • Write, test, and iterate cold email copy (subject lines, bodies, CTAs) by vertical
  • Ramp daily email volume from low thousands to tens of thousands per day, progressing toward sustained high-volume operation
  • Manage inbox and domain health, warm-up, rotation, and suppression
  • Monitor reply quality and ensure consistent sales-ready lead flow

Funnel, Messaging & Coordination

  • Own outbound messaging, offers, and positioning by vertical
  • Define landing page messaging and requirements; coordinate with the designer for execution (you do not perform design work)
  • Define exact list specifications (industries, revenue bands, business age, exclusions, decision-maker targeting) and direct the data specialist accordingly
  • Continuously refine vertical focus based on real performance data

Tracking & Performance

  • Own campaign tracking and attribution (UTM structure, campaign naming standards)
  • Ensure accurate lead attribution into CRM
  • Track and optimize against:

- sends - deliverability - replies - positive replies - lead quality - volume ramp

  • Optimize using production metrics (leads, reply quality, throughput), not vanity metrics

  • Greenfield ownership of a cold email engine
  • High-volume, execution-first, results-accountable
  • Remote and autonomous, with direct collaboration with the founder and fast decision-making
  • Focused on throughput, quality, and scale

This role is NOT:

  • A general marketing or growth role
  • A design or list-building role
  • A lifecycle, newsletter, or brand email role
  • A meeting-heavy corporate environment
  • This is a contract role with clear performance expectations and an output-driven continuation model.

Required Experience

  • Proven experience running high-volume cold email (10k+ emails/day)
  • Direct experience in business funding, MCA, lending, or financial services
  • Hands-on responsibility for inbox/domain management, warm-up, and volume scaling
  • Strong cold email copywriting and testing discipline
  • Ability to clearly articulate past performance (volume, positive reply rate, outcomes)
  • Comfortable owning results without hand-holding

Preferred Experience

  • Experience operating or scaling toward 50k–100k+ emails/day
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRMs and attribution discipline
  • Experience defining and enforcing UTM frameworks for outbound email campaigns
  • Comfortable working in lean, high-accountability environments

Compensation & Structure

  • $6,000/month, 1099 contractor
  • Fully remote
  • No commissions or bonuses; performance is evaluated through continuation of the engagement
