Student Intern - Python/C++ Developer - Summer Term

TMX Group is a leading global exchange organization that enhances capital markets. The Student Intern - Python/C++ Developer role involves collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to execute tests, conduct code reviews, and participate in code development using Python and/or C++.

Responsibilities

  • Elaborate and execute tests prior to delivery
  • Collaborate with the team members to understand and to challenge the requirements , design, and the testing cycle
  • Conduct and participate in code reviews by following the enterprise code standards
  • Participate in code development in Python and/or C++

Skills

  • Currently enrolled in a university program in Software Engineering or related field
  • Good software troubleshooting skills
  • Minimum of 3 months of practical experience in Python programming scripting
  • Familiarity with Git
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes concepts such as Pods and Helm
  • Knowledge in DevOps and CI/CD implementation
  • Ability to work in a flexible environment and interest in continuous process improvement
  • Sense of organization, focus, persistence and ability to work according to established plan
  • Good interpersonal skills and team player
  • Good imagination and creativity in developing solutions
